When should I install v3?
When you have some free time to play and have fun, without deadlines looming! There are some significant changes, so allow for a slight learning curve initially. We do recommend that you back up all your current .ata project files onto a CD or DVD before installing v3 - but of course you keep regular backups anyway right?
Can I install v3 on a computer that already has v2.7 installed?
Yes, you can install v3 to a different folder to v2.7, however we generally recommend uninstalling any previous version via the Windows Control Panel before installing v3. Note that v3 will take over existing Antenna shortcuts on the Start Menu and Desktop. When you double-click a .ata project file in Windows, it will open in whichever version of Antenna you used last!
Can existing v2.7 projects be opened in v3?
Yes, but projects saved in v3 can not be opened in v2.7! Although the underlying architecture is different, v3 has a built in project converter - it converts projects automatically whenever you open a v2.7 project in v3.
Does everything get converted?
Most projects should convert fine, but not every single thing will be converted. For example the bookmarks system in v3 has been completely rewritten to support cross-page bookmarking and placing bookmarks within blocks of text, so old v2.7 bookmarks will be removed during conversion.

Dictionaries
The Antenna spell-checker uses free Hunspell dictionaries as used by OpenOffice, Thunderbird, Opera, Snow Leopard etc. Click the link below to download dictionaries.
